DescriptionDescriptionSpecificationExperimentsRequirementsWhat's IncludedAccessoriesDescriptionUnlike a traditional thermometer, Go Direct Temperature allows students to collect real-time temperature measurements of a single instance or over a period of time. Its temperature range and wireless capability make Go Direct Temperature the go-to sensor for real-world applications. The Go Direct Temperature Probe can be used in a variety of experiments:Conduct endothermic and exothermic reactions.Investigate the freezing and melting of water.Measure the energy content of foods.Examine the absorption of radiant energy.Monitor environmental conditions.Remote Data Logging – Go Beyond Wireless Limits! This Go Direct sensor is capable of remote data logging! This feature allows sensors to store data directly to their internal memory—ideal for investigations that extend beyond typical connection ranges like long-term environmental monitoring or rocket launches. It works seamlessly with our award-winning Vernier Graphical Analysis® app so students can visualize their data and make key connections between abstract science concepts and real-world phenomena.Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are The Go Direct robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation. Monitor battery life directly from our free Graphical Analysis™ app. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.Wired or Wireless—The Flexibility to Choose Our Go Direct™ Temperature Probe connects directly to your mobile device, Chromebook, or computer using our free Graphical Analysis™ app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. Go Direct sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.SpecificationTemperature range: -40 to 125°CHandle temperature range: -10 to 45°CResolution: 0.01°CAccuracy: ±0.25°CResponse time (time for 90% of reading): 20 seconds (in water, with stirring)Connections are either wireless via Bluetooth or wired via USB.Alternative part number VR157488NExperimentsInvestigating Chemistry through InquiryPhysical Properties of WaterBaking Soda and Vinegar InvestigationsAn Investigation of Urea-Containing Cold PacksIdentifying a Pure SubstanceInvestigating the Energy Content of FoodsInvestigating the Energy Content of FuelsEvaporation and Intermolecular AttractionsEnthalpy ChangesReaction StoichiometryColligative Properties of SolutionsLong Term Water MonitoringVapor Pressure and Heat of Vaporization InvestigationsThe Effect of Acid Deposition on Aqueous SystemsBaking Soda and Vinegar Investigations RevisitedReaction RatesEnzyme ActivitySugar Fermentation by YeastPhysical Science with VernierTemperature Probe Response TimeBoiling Temperature of WaterFreezing and Melting of WaterEvaporation of AlcoholsEndothermic and Exothermic ReactionsNeutralisation ReactionsMixing Warm and Cold WaterHeat of FusionEbergt Content of FuelsEnergy Content of FoodsAbsorption of Radiant EnergyAn Insulated Cola BottleA Good SockInsolation AngleSolar Homes and Heat SinksGas Temperature and PressureMiddle School Science with VernierA Hot HandHeating of Land and WaterThe Greenhouse EffectRelative HumidityAbsorption of Radiant EnergySchoolyard StudyA Good SockWhat Causes the Seasons?Solar HomesBoiling Temperature of WaterFreezing and Melting of WaterHow Low Can You Go?A Good Cold PackA Water Field StudyCooling Rates: Shaq vs. SusieChemistry with VernierEndothermic and Exothermic ReactionsFreezing and Melting of WaterAnother Look at Freezing TemperatureHeat of Fusion of IcePressure-Temperature Relationship in GasesFractional DistillationEvaporation and Intermolecular AttractionsVapour Pressure of LiquidsEffect of Temperature on Solubility of a SaltUsing Freezing Point Depression to Find Molecular WeightEnergy Content of FoodsEnergy Content of FuelsAdditivity of Heats of Reaction: Hess’s LawHeat of Combustion: MagnesiumAdvanced Chemistry with VernierThe Molar Mass of a Volatile LiquidUsing Freezing-Point Depression to Find Molecular WeightThe Molar Volume of a GasDetermining the Mole Ratios in a Chemical ReactionThe Decomposition of Hydrogen PeroxideDetermining the Enthalpy of a Chemical ReactionThe Synthesis of AlumThe Analysis of AlumThe Synthesis and Analysis of AspirinThe Enthalpy of Neutralisation of Phosphoric AcidExploring the Properties of GasesVapour Pressure and Heat of VaporisationRate Determination and Activation EnergyAgricultural Science with VernierEnergy Content of FuelsElementary Science with VernierLearning to Use Go!TempHow Do Mittens Keep You Warm?Baggie MittensThe Sole PurposeCool Reaction!Cold as IceAre We Cool or What? Why Do We Need Thermometers?Celsius or Fahrenheit.
