Description The Ballerina bespoke flower girl dress in white or ivory with a romantic tulle skirt. With the mention of ballerina length skirts, Anna Pavlova, one of the World’s most famous ballerinas, comes to mind. Anna was a meticulous dresser both on stage and off and was known for her ballerina length skirts and perfectly, elegant dressing. Traditionally, the ballerina length skirt is made of tulle and just grazes the top of the ankle thus providing a more formal feel than a tea length skirt. Ballerina skirts have been a consistently popular length for formal dresses. This dress has a custom length flowing tulle skirt with a cotton bodice in the romantic style. The layers of soft bridal tulle are draped to mid-calf, ankle or floor length to make the best twirling dress imaginable. This made to measure flower girl dress is made of soft tulle and cotton with a hand-pleated skirt and ivory or white ribbon sash. Alternatively, we can add a pure silk sash which ties in a big bow at the back. The silk sashes come in any of 140 colours and the additional cost is £45. Please see the silk swatch cards and send an email with your postal address and the reference numbers for any of the silks that you would like to see and we’ll post them out to you. The skirt is fully lined with an anti-static lining so that it’s not at all scratchy and will stand up on its own for the crinoline effect yet is also fluid and moves lightly, making it perfect for twirling and dancing! The bodice is fully lined with a little pearl button fastening at the back. It can be made in white or ivory and as all dresses are handmade to order we can make any changes to all of the styles including adding sleeves and a full button back. The sizing is 3 months to 12 years (do send an email if you would like a larger size for junior bridesmaids).
